Janie uses an eclectic mix of textiles and fibre materials to create one off textile artworks. The soul of the creature emerges as Janie fabricates a 3D soft sculpture piece, revealing the particular quirky essence of that creature’s spirit. Materials are bought, found and upcycled, similar to the process of creating a collage or a mosaic. Lengths of fabrics are block and screen printed by hand, sculpted cushions, rows of flags, hand painted silks and funky creatures can all be seen at exhibitions and craft fairs.
